Natural Stone & Paver Patios, Walkways & Driveways

A paver space, whether it is a patio, walkway or driveway creates a truly unique element to the exterior of your residential or commercial property. If you are looking for a quaint flagstone patio to gather with neighbors, or you want to improve the appearance of your business with paver walkways, our professional team is here to get the job done right. We offer a wide variety of paver styles with many different color choices and options sure to fit any budget.

One of the biggest benefits to paver installation in Rhode Island is that it becomes an expansion of the usable living space at your home or business and also increases the value of your property as a result. In addition to a great spot to relax, when it comes time to sell your property, elegantly designed paver patios, walkways and driveways can also push a potential buyer to make the purchase as they will be able to envision themselves enjoying their evenings on the patio.

Our Paver Patio, Walkway & Driveway Installation Process

Site Measurements
Our designer or estimator will meet with you at your property and the assess proposed work area with you and discuss your goals and ideas.

Paver Structure Design

Your design is finalized, contracts are signed and initial project deposits are paid at this time.

Excavation and Base Prep

Our hardscape team begins the work at your property. This is an exciting time as you’ll be able to witness the transformation taking place in real time. Our crews excavate the area where your patio, walkway or driveway will be built, followed by installing base material (class-5 gravel in most projects). The base is compacted and set to the right slope for water drainage.

Paver Laying
Once the base is complete, all pavers are laid out according to the design pattern and then cuts are made to fit into the space with a soldier course.

Completion Work

After all the paver cuts are done, our crew installs joint sand (polymeric sand to lock the pavers together) into the joints between the pavers with brooms, then lightly blows off the pavers lightly with a backpack blower, followed by applying a light mist of water. Then we let the surface dry, and apply another mist of water to the surface. Within 24-48 hours of drying, your new paver installation project is complete! While the final coats of water are drying is generally when our crew begins the finishing work such as installing landscape beds with plants, mulch or decorative rock, as well as repairs to your yard that may have been damaged by equipment with black dirt with grass seed or sod, and cleaning up the work area.

Please note this process is a broad overview and every project is unique. The scheduling and order of operations may be different, give us a call at (401) 203-7588 to learn more, or fill out our online form to schedule a consultation.
